Milan market, a sensational name pops up for after Allegri

Giovanni Malagò seems to hold all the cards to become the next president of the FIGC. The elections will say the final word, but the former CONI number one is now the most credible candidate. On his table, however, would immediately arrive a very heavy decision: to choose the new technical commissioner of the national team, just back from a third, very hard exclusion from the World Cup.

In this context, it is no mystery that Malagò is looking decisively at Massimiliano Allegri. A choice that, at least on paper, has its own logic: in the national teams, it matters less to impose a complex system of play and more to know how to manage the group, prepare matches on the opponent and intervene with lucidity during the ninety minutes. Characteristics that Allegri possesses in abundance, along with an acknowledged ability in managing human resources.

Meanwhile, on the club front, Milan cannot stay on hold for too long. The Allegri-FIGC track is still more suggestion than concrete negotiation, but possible alternatives are already beginning to circulate. Vincenzo Italiano has long been a name liked by the Rossoneri management, especially Giorgio Furlani. Also watch out for developments between Gian Piero Gasperini and Roma, in case the relationship should definitely sour.

And then there is the most sensational hypothesis: the return to Milan, but on the other side, of Simone Inzaghi. The experience in Arabia may not last long for a coach who is still young and already capable, at the helm of Inter, of winning a Scudetto and reaching two Champions League finals.
