Jannik Sinner, four goals to complete the puzzle: Madrid should not be skipped

There are opportunities that must be seized, not least because they may never happen again. Jannik Sinner is in front of one such “golden opportunity.” The world No. 1 is riding a streak of four Masters 1000s won in a row, and should he participate in winning Madrid, he would rise to five, a titanic feat unheard of in modern tennis.

In short, a more than valid reason to give his okay to participate in the Madrid Masters 1000. There is still time to decide, as the draw is scheduled on the day of next April 20, but the feeling is that the Italian will be in the main draw. Main draw in which, however, may not be Carlos Alcaraz.

Also because, there is another important reason not to skip it. Madrid is one of Jannik Sinner’s four remaining goals to complete the “perfect circle.” He has won seven of the nine Masters 1000s on the circuit. All that is missing is Rome and, indeed, Madrid.

To complete the puzzle, then, he will need a triumph at Roland Garros (he already came very close last year) and an Olympic gold medal (for the latter there will be time and a way to give it some thought). In short, Jannik Sinner can enter, even more, tennis history and, in fact, is almost compelled to attend Madrid to take another step further into legend.
