The "Fustinoni Association…go rebound!" launches an important appeal
The “Fustinoni…Go Bounce!” Association, founded in 2022 to remember Giorgio Fustinoni, a historical figure in Monza basketball and a professor beloved by youngsters, is launching an important appeal. The association aims to promote sports and its values through aggregation events: among them, the 3vs3 Basketball Tournament “Fustinoni Vai a Rimbalzo,” now in its fifth edition, which wants to bring kids together by remembering Giorgio’s passion and commitment to the world of basketball and sports in general.
“We would be happy if the possibility of supporting this initiative with a donation or sponsorship would be considered. There will be wide visibility on social media of the associations and the event, on posters and promotional materials, during the event itself, with dedicated spaces to give maximum exposure to the realities,” explain the organizers. Last year, the Villasant event was also followed by local and national media due to the presence of Bruno Cerella, a longtime basketball player in important Italian realities and in the National Team.
Since 2025, the “Fustinoni go rebound” reality has been joined by the “YOUnited” Association, in memory of Youssouf Fofana, a young Villasant athlete who died prematurely due to Marfan syndrome. YOUnited is committed to raising awareness and support for research into this rare disease, as well as promoting events that enhance the values of friendship, inclusion and passion for basketball and music, just as You would have wanted. From this year, Milos, a little boy who in his short life taught what it means to be brave, give everything in the fight and be the strongest; basketball was his greatest love, this tournament would have put a big smile on his sweet face.
The 3vs3 Basketball Tournament “Fustinoni Go Bounce…with You & Mi,” will take place on the playground of the Villasanta Fiesta Area, a pretty town in the province of Monza and Brianza, from June 5 to 7, 2026; it will be a great occasion of aggregation, with basketball games (Saturday 3vs3 in the morning Minibasket category “Torneo Milos” and in the afternoon Youth category “Torneo You”, Sunday 3vs3 Senior category “Torneo Fusti”), live music and food truck, to offer participants and audience an engaging and memorable experience.
