Real Madrid flop, market revolution: 9 stars sold, opportunities in Italy

The total failure of Real Madrid this season will have major repercussions on the summer market, including for Italian clubs. The Blancos are on their way to ending their second consecutive season without titles: the beginning of Xabi Alonso’s cycle proved to be an illusion, and not even the running arrival of Arbeloa has lifted the situation.
The squad will be revolutionized in the summer, in every department. According to Sport.es, at least 9 stars could say goodbye to the team: in defense, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy and Fran GarcĂa are departing. Antonio Rudiger is also reportedly destined to say goodbye, despite a possible contract extension.
In midfield, the departures of Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Ceballos are taken for certain: the French midfielder could fetch 50 million euros, while Ceballos could end up at Ajax, which has contacted him in recent weeks.
In attack, young Mastantuono will almost certainly leave, who could also be sold on loan to Serie A: his dual passport and low salary could entice several clubs in our league. Also likely to leave is Brazilian Rodrygo, who is back from a ruptured cruciate ligament that will force him to miss the next World Cup as well.
A separate chapter deserves the Nico Paz issue. The young Argentine midfielder, who was sold to Como where he played two great seasons establishing himself as one of the revelations of European soccer, could take the reverse route as early as this summer. Real Madrid has reserved a buy-back option set at just nine million euros, a derisory sum compared to the player’s current value, estimated at over 65 million. However, the club must exercise the clause by May 31 to secure his return, making the decision urgent. For Inter and the other Serie A clubs that had their eyes on the Argentine talent, the road thus appears to be uphill: Real Madrid is unlikely to let such a golden opportunity pass them by
