The issue related to Semih Kiliçsoy continues to hold the headlines: the Turkish striker, after an initial period of adaptation, played with some quality between December and January, also scoring important goals (especially those against Torino and Fiorentina), but then something changed.

The young center forward born in 2005 had some unexpected difficulties and his minutes have been reduced considerably, totaling little more than half an hour in the last 4 days. Recently Fabio Pisacane tried to explain, “Right now he doesn’t offer me guarantees from a physical point of view. I think I would not even do him justice in putting him on the last few minutes, I hope that from here to the end he will give me different answers especially in training.”

The Turks, however, cannot get their heads around the situation and on social media many fans of Besiktas, the club that owns the tag, are puzzled. “He has scored important goals and it is clear that he has great talent, how can he not play?” wrote one fan who was echoed by another supporter of the Istanbul club: “He is not injured and Cagliari needs the best to save themselves, so why doesn’t Semih play?”

A few days ago Besiktas president Serdal Adali was very clear at the microphones of HT Spor about the future of his player: “For Semih, the deadline for the redemption is scheduled for the beginning of June. I sincerely hope that Cagliari will not exercise the purchase option because today, at those figures (12 million euros, ed.), it is impossible to find profiles of the same level on the market. I completely exclude any discount.”
