Most likely in the summer soccer market session Torino will upset its offensive department: Giovanni Simeone, Ché Adams and Duvan Zapata could say goodbye and Gianluca Petrachi is already working to identify the ideal replacements.

In the list of candidates there is also the name of Hugo Cuypers, bomber of the Chicago Fire who, despite some injuries suffered in recent months, is having an excellent season with 8 goals scored in 6 games. His performance has attracted the attentions of Torino, and also fueling the rumors about his possible farewell from Chicago is the contractual aspect.

The Belgian bomber, class of 1997, is linked to the U.S. team by an agreement valid until December and there is a one-year extension clause that can be activated by the club. The idea of the Chicago Fire management, according to U.S. media reports, would be to exercise the option and sell Cuypers in the summer. In this way the club hopes to gain as much as possible from the bomber’s farewell.

Bred in the youth ranks of Standard Liege, the Belgian bomber also played in Greece (Ergotelis and Olympiacos) before moving to Corsica to defend the colors of Ajaccio. Back in Belgium he wore the jerseys of Mechelen and Gent, then in February 2024 chose to move to the United States.
