Leeds (15th with 40 points) has a chance to take an almost decisive step toward arithmetic salvation tonight at 9 p.m. In fact, the Whites have a six-point lead over third-last-place Tottenham, and with a win against Burnley they could move significantly closer to their goal of permanence.
