Bundesliga 2025-2026: Bayern Munich-Heidenheim, the likely lineups

The only one among the major European leagues to have already awarded the title, the Bundesliga is set to experience between Saturday and Sunday the third-to-last day of the 2025-2026 season. Among the protagonists of Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. matches are precisely the champions Bayern Munich, also fresh from the crushing 5-4 defeat in the Champions League against PSG in the first leg of the semifinals: the day’s opponent is Heidenheim, in search of points to recover on the third-last place, which would be worth the play-off with the third of Bundesliga 2.
Also at 3 p.m.30 four other matches are played: Werder Bremen aims to close salvation talks once and for all against an Augsburg that has nothing more to ask from the league, Eintracht Frankfurt challenges Hamburg in an important match for the hosts’ race for Europe and for the Hanseatic’s stay in the Bundesliga, Hoffenheim and Stuttgart play each other in a real play-off for fourth place, Union Berlin and Cologne play to break away from the last three positions permanently.
Another eagerly awaited match of the 32nd day is scheduled a little later at 6:30 p.m.: Bayer Leverkusen, currently sixth but with major European ambitions, will host Leipzig, which instead aims to consolidate its third position in the standings and achieve its sixth consecutive league victory.
