Vitea wineries enchant the Ambrosian Golf Club

Antonio Faravelli

Antonio Faravelli, winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria, in the heart of Oltrepò Pavese, was the exclusive protagonist at the prestigious Symple Italia event, hosted in the setting of the Ambrosiano Golf Club. Owner of Cantine Vitea and promoter of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, Faravelli presented his relaunch project with great success, combining the area’s wine-growing excellence with the tradition and values of golf.

The “Golf and Wine 1895” project received a real standing ovation from the audience present, won over as much by the entrepreneurial vision as by the quality of the wines signed Cantine Vitea. Particular appreciation was reserved for some historical labels that, in the past, were able to conquer even the famous composer Giacomo Puccini.

During the event, numerous participants tasted Cantine Vitea’s wines, remaining enthusiastic about the excellence expressed in each glass. The appreciation also translated into an immediate commercial response, with numerous purchases made to the great satisfaction of the guests.

The Bonarda Gallesio and sparkling wines made from Pinot Noir grapes from the Oltrepò Pavese area, authentic expressions of a territory with a vocation for great viticulture, stood out among the most requested labels.

Cantine Vitea represents one of the most prestigious historical realities of the territory. Founded in 1895 by great-grandfather Antonio Faravelli, today the winery is now in its fifth generation and continues to bring the quality of Oltrepò Pavese to the world, with wines that are appreciated and distributed on international markets as well.

Making the identity of Cantine Vitea even more distinctive is a production philosophy based on sustainability and respect for the territory. In fact, the winery adopts Integrated Pest Management, a crop defense practice recognized and regulated by the European Union’s Rural Development Plan, excluding phytosanitary products of harmful and toxic classes and limiting treatments to only cases of actual need.

The vineyards, located between 230 and 275 meters above sea level, enjoy excellent sun exposure and are developed on clay-limestone soils, ideal conditions for obtaining grapes of great value.

In recent years, Cantine Vitea’s wines have consolidated their international reputation thanks to important awards obtained in France, Germany and Asia, including prestigious gold medals that testify to quality, craftsmanship and excellence. A successful path that confirms Cantine Vitea as an authoritative ambassador of Oltrepò Pavese wine excellence in the world.
