Cited by several sources as one of the main targets for Milan’s attack next to return to the European cups, Alexander Sorloth does not convince everyone, on the contrary: in a lapidary post published on his own X profile, Aldo Serena (who played in Milan in 1982-83 and in the two-year period 1991-1993) has come down pretty hard, actually advising against the investment to the Rossoneri club.

“Milan, are we sure?” wrote (accompanying the message with a photo of Sorloth in an Atletico Madrid jersey) Aldo Serena, who after his career as a soccer player embarked on a long journey as a second voice in the commentary booth and as a TV pundit, and today works with Sky Sport.

In the return semifinal that sealed Atletico’s elimination in favor of Arsenal, Sorloth played for 34 minutes, taking over from Le Normand at 27′, but without making an impact and, indeed, missing a good chance to find the equalizer at Emirates Stadium. The Colchoneros fans themselves spared no criticism of the Norwegian, also making Diego Simeone weigh Diego Simeone’s choice to give him the full weight of the attack, taking Griezmann and Julian Alvarez off the field at 66′.

Even Milan fans themselves are questioning the possibility of Sorloth’s signing: there are not a few who fear a repeat of what happened with Santiago Gimenez and Niclas Füllkrug, two players who despite initial good impressions are struggling considerably to make their mark in the Rossoneri.

For the attack, the via Aldo Rossi club would also be considering more surprising solutions such as the one linked to Romelu Lukaku, although first it will have to be understood whether the Belgian will actually want to end his adventure at Napoli by staying in the Italian league.
