The 36th day of the Premier League concludes tonight at 9 p.m. with the very delicate challenge at Hotspur Stadium between Tottenham and Leeds United. Spurs, regenerated by Roberto De Zerbi’s cure and returning from two consecutive successes, are looking for a trio to stretch over the third-last place occupied by West Ham and thus mortgage their stay in the top flight. On the other side, Daniel Farke’s Leeds arrive in London with the serenity of those who now have salvation in their pockets thanks to a very positive end to the season. While De Zerbi has to cope with a crowded infirmary and relies on Gallagher’s dynamism and Richarlison’s flair, the Peacocks are banking on the solidity of the group and the talent of Calvert-Lewin to try to win the match. In an atmosphere of the highest tension for the hosts, the match promises to be a real watershed for the future of the North London club.
De Zerbi is banking on continuity to win the match. Between the posts will still be young Kinsky, protected by the central pair Danso-van de Ven, with Udogie and Pedro Porro ready to push on the flanks. In the midfield, substance is ensured by the Palhinha-Bentancur duo, while the weight of the attack will be composed by the trio Mathys Tel, Conor Gallagher and Kolo Muani, who will act behind the only point Richarlison, called upon to drag Spurs toward salvation.
Farke responds with a very solid team determined to close every space. In front of Darlow, the three-man line will be led by Rodon with Bornauw and Struijk. The midfield will see Ampadu and Tanaka in the middle, supported by outside backs Bogle and Justin. In the three-quarter, Aaronson’s imagination and Stach’s pliability will have the task of triggering Calvert-Lewin as the only central striker.
