Marc Marquez in tears: Spanish fans against Valentino Rossi and Marco Bezzecchi

The images of Marc Marquez distraught and in tears after his crash in the Le Mans Sprint race last Saturday have caused an uproar in Spain. The video, released by Ducati for its traditional “Inside” segment that reveals the behind-the-scenes footage of each Grand Prix, has gone viral on social media.
“I ride with one and a half arms. After Jerez I went for a checkup and we actually understood what doesn’t work when I take a certain position in the saddle – is the confession that Marquez tearfully made to his team after the crash -. I had told the two of them asking for confidentiality to avoid everyone’s questions. When, for example, you asked me what had happened in that corner yesterday in Q2 I knew very well what had happened, my arm goes ‘on-off’ and I can’t push.”
The problem concerns his right shoulder, which is again badly hurt after the accident in Indonesia with Marco Bezzecchi in late 2025: the current World Championship leader and Aprilia centaur himself has been targeted by many Iberian fans, who on social media have also attacked his mentor Valentino Rossi.
“Bezzecchi has performed to perfection the task assigned to him by Valentino Rossi,” “Rossi understood that the way to get rid of Marc was to send Bezzecchi to him,” “All this because of that damn Bezzecchi, who now has a free hand in the championship,” “Bezzecchi should have been sanctioned more severely,” “It’s really sad to see Valentino and his cronies (read: Bezzecchi) involved in this whole story,” is the tenor of the hundreds of comments against the Rimini rider.
Marquez underwent surgery this week and will be out two more races, with the hope of recovering 100 percent physical condition and being able to return to compete for the World Championship starting in Mugello.
