Bench waltz: one'more prestigious bench vacates in A2

Estra Pistoia Basket 2000 has announced that it has taken note with enormous respect and full understanding of coach Pete Strobl’s decision not to serve as head coach of the first team next season. The club wishes to express its gratitude for the professionalism, commitment and passion shown by Coach Pete since his first day in Pistoia: all qualities that have been instrumental in leading the team to the achievement of the salvation goal. The club also wants to wish him all the best for the future, both personally and professionally.
Coach Strobl, who in these few months has been able to forge a significant bond with the biancorossi fans, wanted to entrust a letter with his greeting to the entire square. “Dear Pistoia, I have received so many thanks in the last few days that I have lost count, but it is I who must say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I came to Pistoia to work and help the team maintain the category, but along the way I fell in love with this square, the fans, the club and the city. Looking back at the images and the moments, it is incredible what we were able to accomplish together. The hardships, challenges and adversities encountered along the way have made this journey all the more rewarding. I think we have all learned a lot from this season, and because of that, the future will be better.”
“When I arrived here, many people told me that it would take a miracle to save the season, which made me even more determined to “find a way” for it to happen. Day by day we built an identity and the players all worked together for the common goal. Thank you for believing in us, I hope I have made you proud! Although I have loved being here, I will not return to coach the team next season. I miss my family very much and it is time for me to return home and be a good father to my children. However, I will return to Pistoia at some point, because this city now has a special place in my heart.”
