The indefatigable Antonio Faravelli garnered great acclaim at the San Vito Golf Club thanks to the relaunch project “Golf and Wine 1895,” an initiative that aims to enhance Made in Italy by uniting golf, tourism and the area’s food and wine excellence. Participants at the event appreciated the entrepreneur’s vision, showing enthusiasm for a format designed to promote local traditions through sports and wine culture.

The day’s main protagonist was also the tasting of award-winning wines from Vitea Cellars, which were a great success among the guests. Among the most popular labels was the Bonarda Gallesio, included by Vinibuoni d’Italia of the Italian Touring Club in the “Wines not to be missed” section and already recognized by Italy’s Finest Wines as the best Bonarda in Italy.

The sparkling wines obtained from selected Pinot Noir grapes from the vineyards of Val Versa, in the territory of Montù Beccaria, one of the most vocated areas of Oltrepò Pavese for the production of high quality wines, were also very appreciated. A tradition that in the past even won over Giacomo Puccini.

The wines signed Cantine Vitea come from a careful selection of grapes and a production process followed with extreme care at every stage, from the processing of the must to bottling. An approach that has enabled the winery to obtain important international awards, including numerous gold medals certifying its qualitative excellence. “And I can only be proud of that,” commented Faravelli.
