Juventus market, pops up a'surprise hypothesis for Dusah Vlahovic

The future of Dusan Vlahovic remains one of the most delicate dossiers at Juventus, all the more so with the concrete possibility for the Bianconeri club of not playing in the next Champions League and losing the related revenues. After a below-expectation 2025‑2026 season and with the renewal still far from being black on white, the Serbian striker is considering his fate. The alternatives, however, are beginning to shrink significantly.

Acc Milan, which had also been monitoring the situation in recent months, seems to have changed its strategy: after the flops of Gimenez and Füllkrug, at Milanello they are looking for a ready-made center forward, not a player to be relaunched. Even Bayern Munich, which in recent months had sounded out the ground in search of an alternative to Harry Kane, no longer seems willing to invest in Vlahovic, while no concrete signals have come from the Premier League after last winter’s rumors.

In this scenario, a track that would have seemed unthinkable until a few weeks ago is taking shape: Roma. The Giallorossi club is planning for the future and, should qualification for the next Champions League arrive, among other things precisely at the expense of Juventus, given the latest results, it could decide to add another striker to the squad. According to ‘Sportmediaset,’ by the way, the signing of Vlahovic would be the tip of the iceberg of a revolution that coach Gasperini and D.S. Massara are studying for 2026-2027.

The commitment in the top European competition is prohibitive and includes, between September and January, as many as eight top-level challenges in the continental arena. Donyell Malen has proven to be more than reliable, but it is difficult to think of entrusting him with the keys to the attack every third day. That is why Vlahovic could be an intriguing option: he would be a major investment in terms of salary, but potentially sustainable in the event of a stable entry in the top four.

The surprising hypothesis does not, however, completely cut off Juventus and the renewal option. The club continues to consider the new contract as a real possibility, but uncertainty about the Serbian’s performance and the need to rebalance the payroll by losing Champions League money could derail the negotiations. And while Vlahovic has never closed to staying, the prospect of playing his chances elsewhere in the tournament that awards the Cup with the big ears could tempt him.
