Olimpia Milano: first match point against Reggio Emilia, coach Poeta has a request

After doing their homework at home, today (2:45 p.m. ball), Olimpia will try to close the series against Pallacanestro Reggiana. The goal of the biancorossi is to smash the PalaBigi and file the case, so they will also have a few more days of rest than other teams such as Virtus Bologna and Germani Brescia (they have already lost a game).
Coach Poeta knows perfectly well that Reggio Emilia is a team to be taken with pliers. In the two games at the Forum it never raised the white flag, even when it went down heavily in scoring. Now, at home, it will do everything to extend the series.
“In game 2 the best aspect was the ability to hold up in difficult moments thanks to defense. Ours was one of the best defensive games of the year considering the opponents, held to 65 points. Then compared to Game 1 we controlled rebounds better, conceding only six under our backboard. But they are a tough, strong team that doesn’t give up, and in Game 3 they will sell their skin dearly by approaching the game as aggressively as possible,” Coach Poeta’s words.
Olimpia is now 217-143 in playoff games, 92-41 in individual quarterfinal contests. Olimpia is currently 59-19 against Reggio Emilia, 35-4 in Milan. On the road, the tally is 21-12, again for the red-and-whites.
