Inter Milan market, Denzel Dumfries’ future back on the table

New rumors about the future of Denzel Dumfries. Liverpool, which had already shown interest in the Inter Milan outfielder last January, has returned to closely monitor the Dutch national, who is expected to be among the protagonists with the Netherlands at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The Reds, ready to revolutionize part of the squad after a disappointing season that ended in fifth place in the Premier League, have once again inquired about the former PSV man, who landed in the Nerazzurri in 2021. The situation is known: to wrest him from Inter will require the 25 million euros set by the rescission clause, an amount considered affordable for a player of his level. Returning in February after a long injury layoff, Dumfries was decisive in the 4-3 win against Como, signing a very heavy double in the Scudetto race.
Liverpool, however, is not the only top European club interested. Barcelona is also keeping a close eye on the 1996 class, who starred in the last Champions League with a brace for the Blaugrana in the pyrotechnic 3-3 first leg of the semifinal played in Spain. His profile particularly appeals to sporting director Deco, although before sinking the blow the Catalan club would have to sell Jules Koundé, who ended up in the sights of several European bigwigs including Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
From Spain, moreover, rumors have emerged in recent hours about a possible interest of Real Madrid for Dumfries. According to rumors, the Dutchman’s name has been suggested by Jose Mourinho, who has been mentioned as the future coach of the blancos.
