Another young Azzurri is ready to make the big leap: goodbye to Serie A to get involved in the NCAA. After Quinn Ellis and Saliou Niang (assuming NCAA rules don’t change, given the latest rumors), Pietro Iannuzzi will also go to cut his teeth in the United States.

The class of 2007, a guard by profession, seen this year in the ranks of Pallacanestro Trieste, will play for coach Todd Lee at Cal State Bakersfield, a college that is part of the Big West Conference.

A great opportunity for the young Italian who, after making his Serie A debut with Reyer Venezia (from 2023 to 2025), this year took his first real steps in high-level basketball with the Pallacanestro Trieste jersey, also taking the court several times in the Basketball Champions League.

“We were immediately impressed with his qualities,” the comment of Todd Lee, coach of Cal State Bakersfield and, in the past, also director of scouting for Arkansas. Starting next season, he will then star at the Icardo Center, home arena of the Roadrunners.
