The Ducati VR46 team centaur Fabio Di Giannantonio was the fastest on Friday at the Mugello track, where the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix is being held this weekend. After dominating the first free practice, the rider from Valentino Rossi’s team repeated himself in the afternoon at the Tuscan track, stopping the clock at a time of 1:44.808 in the pre-qualifying session of the MotoGP premier class.

All-around revenge of the Ducati bikes, which all qualified in Q2: Pecco Bagnaia finished second at 91 thousandths, Franco Morbidelli set the fourth time, Gresini team rider Fermin Aldeguer was fifth (no Alex Marquez, injured), while the returning Marc Marquez, the most anticipated man of the day, managed to hit the sixth time.

In the 10 there are also Enea Bastianini (KTM), the two centaurs of the official Aprilia team Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin, in seventh and eighth place respectively, the Honda centaurs Alex Rins and Diogo Moreira. They will have to go through Q1 instead among others Ogura, Raul Fernandez, Pedro Acosta, Maverick Vinales and Joan Mir. The session was suspended twice for a few minutes: the first time for the bad crash of Fabio Quartararo, the second time for a technical problem of Brad Binder.
