On the day of Antonio Conte’s official farewell, Napoli is preparing to welcome Massimiliano Allegri with an important first gift: the confirmation in the squad of Rasmus Hojlund, definitely redeemed from Manchester United. The Danish striker has relaunched himself in Italy after his difficulties at the Red Devils, scoring 16 times in a total of 44 appearances, also making a name for himself in the trophy won by the partenopei, the Supercoppa Italiana, with the goal in the 2-0 win against Milan in the semifinal.

It is not only time for reconfirmations at the Azzurri, however: in fact, the management is working to reinforce the flanks: in recent days, the quotations of German Maximilian Mittelstädt, on the strength of Stuttgart, for the left and Brazilian Dodô, for four years at Fiorentina, for the right have risen. In addition, Croatian Moris Valincic, a 23-year-old right-back from Dinamo Zagreb, has also been mentioned as a prospect to Napoli.

In the meantime, Antonio Conte said goodbye to Napoli with a post on his social channels: “Two winning years of strong emotions and great passion,” wrote the Salento coach. “Simply thank you from the heart, Napoli. Conte leaves the Neapolitan capital with one more Scudetto and one more Italian Super Cup in his palmarès. With the Tricolor won in 2024-2025, the coach from Lecce became the first to win the Serie A championship with three different clubs (besides Napoli, he won three Scudetti with Juventus and one with Inter).

Now the legacy of the bench will pass to Massimiliano Allegri, who, after being given the sack at the end of the season by AC Milan for failing to reach the minimum goal, qualification for the Champions League, is freeing himself right now from his contract with the Rossoneri to agree with Napoli, a club whose jersey he wore as a player on seven occasions in the 1997-1998 season.
