Italy’s journey in the Volleyball Nations League continues unabated. After the success in the opener against Bulgaria, the Azzurri team led by CT Julio Velasco won their second consecutive victory by overcoming a tough Netherlands with a clear 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-22).
A performance of great personality for captain Cambi and her teammates, able to impose themselves on one of the most competitive national teams on the international scene, who appeared on the court almost full. The success allows Italy to hit its second high point in the VNL and to bring to 38 the extraordinary series of consecutive victories in official matches, which began in June 2024 during the second week of the Volleyball Nations League.
The Azzurri shone in all the fundamentals, showing solidity, quality and continuity. In the offensive phase, decisive were the performances of Antropova and Adigwe, protagonists in dragging the team in the key moments of the match.
Italy will be back on the court tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. (Italian time) to face Turkey (live on DAZN and VBTV), with the goal of conquering the third consecutive success and arriving in the best way to the last, highly anticipated challenge of the first week against host Brazil.
