Juventus market, Alessandro Del Piero speaks out on his return

“I have great respect for those who work at Juve today and I know very well that, depending on the role one holds, situations can be seen from different perspectives.” With these words Alex Del Piero commented on the rumors that would have him starring in a future return to Juventus as a manager, a hypothesis that many fans dream of to the point of imagining him in the role of president.

The former Juventus captain chose caution, however: “What would I tell the players today? In my role today I have to be responsible for what I say and don’t say, but I don’t feel in a position to say what to do. It is definitely a complicated moment, but we must also put the emphasis on the positive things in this championship fought until the last day,” he explained while speaking at the Serie A Festival in Parma.

Del Piero then stressed the importance of looking ahead: “Things happen, but we must have the strength to turn the page. Expectations of me are never a burden, they are a responsibility certainly. The affection I still receive from the fans, a bond that has been created for the path taken in these 19 years for the victories and the choices made.”

Finally, a passage on the relationship with the Agnelli family: “The bond with the family has had some particular moments but it has always been honest and frank, what the ownership has done is something incredible. She has always called herself present even in times of difficulty, guiding the team to beautiful triumphs and she is the only one who has always remained.”
