On the Sunday of the F1 Monaco GP and the Roland Garros final, with the spotlight on Antonelli and Cobolli, respectively, there is also room for the national team. Today, at 9 p.m., coach Baldini’s “experimental” Italy will take on Greece on the island of Crete.

After the narrow victory against Luxembourg, much more is expected from the young Azzurri of the interim coach. The hope is that they will have the strength to show the qualities they are thought to have, so as to put in a challenge for whoever will be chosen as the new coach of the national team.

In fact, for many of them, it may be the last opportunity to prove they can be useful to the Azzurri cause. Compared to the friendly with Luxembourg, coach Baldini seems intent on making two lineup changes. One in defense with Ahanor replacing Favasulli while, in attack, Genoan Ekhator will take the place of the injured Cherubini.

In the Greek ranks will be Douvikas, one of the secrets of Fabregas’ excellent Como season. The Hellenic striker said he has a big dream for this friendly challenge: to be able to score Donnarumma’s goal. The hope of the Italian fans is that it will not happen and, above all, that Baldini’s Italy will play a great game. It would be important for the future of the whole Italian football movement.
