Juventus has decided to overhaul its management. Goodbye to Comolli and hello to Carnevali. It’s now official, as per the club’s statement.

“The Board of Directors of Juventus FC today approved the appointment of Giovanni Carnevali as CEO and General Manager of the Club, entrusting him with the managerial leadership of the Company with the aim of strengthening the Bianconeri’s sporting and industrial project,” the statement reads

Furthermore, the statement also includes significant praise for Carnevali, described as “one of the most highly regarded executives in the sports world; Giovanni brings a wealth of significant managerial expertise to Juventus. A man of football by vocation and passion, Giovanni has dedicated his professional life to this sector, gaining experience and assuming increasingly significant responsibilities, which have allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics governing modern football and its prospects for evolution. In particular, throughout his career, he has made a decisive contribution to the growth and success of Sassuolo Calcio, which over time has become a recognized model for sustainability, innovation, talent development, and the ability to create value, both on and off the field. As a member of the Serie A League Board, he has also contributed to key discussions focused on the evolution and growth of Italian professional soccer.

In short, a new era is beginning at the Bianconeri. It will be up to Carnevali to build a new winning project. Given his extensive experience and knowledge of the market—especially the Italian one—the feeling is that all the conditions are in place for success.
