The “Reds’” dream of signing Luciano Spalletti hasn’t completely faded yet. The coach of Juventus had in mind, for his new adventure, a possible triple signing from Liverpool at the end of their cycle: Alisson Becker, Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah.
The Brazilian goalkeeper, whom Spalletti had known since his time at Roma, had shown openness to a possible transfer to Turin. However, Liverpool has closed the door on any possibility of the goalkeeper leaving, effectively putting an end to the negotiations. Robertson, on the other hand, has taken a different path, joining Tottenham Hotspur, thus ruling out two of the three possible signings.
That leaves only one possibility: Salah. The relationship between the Egyptian and Spalletti has always been excellent. During his time at Roma, the coach managed to bring out the best in the winger, contributing to his subsequent rise to stardom at Liverpool, where he enjoyed the most successful period of his career. Today, with his time at Anfield now over and the player currently a free agent, the possibility remains a distant possibility.
To join Juventus, however, Salah would have to make a significant decision from both a professional and financial standpoint. Juventus cannot guarantee him the salary he earned in England (approximately 12 million euros per year) and cannot compete with offers from Saudi Arabia. The only real argument in its favor would be the team’s sporting vision and the chance to experience one last great chapter in Europe under the guidance of a coach he deeply respects.
