Juventus Transfer Market: Nothing Has Been Decided Regarding Vlahovic; Carnevali Prepares a New Push

Neither side is backing down. According to Tuttosport, Juventus and Vlahovic remain firm in their respective positions, waiting for a sign that might reopen talks. Yet, despite the stalemate, reports coming out of the Juventus camp paint a different picture: the game is still wide open, and the Serbian striker’s future in Turin is by no means set in stone.
In fact, the feeling is that we’re only at the beginning of a new phase in this saga. Giovanni Carnevali, in particular, believes this to be the case; he has taken charge of the Vlahovic file and is assessing the possibilities for reviving negotiations that were interrupted not due to a lack of willingness, but because of the absence of common ground.
In the past, the No. 9 had shown a willingness to continue his journey with the Bianconeri, when Juventus seemed ready to renew the contract. However, the player’s entourage’s high demands put the brakes on everything. Further complicating the situation were the team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, the need to reallocate financial resources, and the club’s urgency to make decisions without wasting any more time.
Now, well into mid-June, negotiations are resuming, starting precisely with those unresolved issues. Carnevali’s mission is to find common ground and put together an offer capable of convincing the Serbian striker. Much will depend on Vlahovic’s own willingness—he is the true deciding factor in this deal.
If Dusan chooses to stay in Turin, Juventus is ready to offer him everything he needs to do so. A contract worth over 6 million euros per season could be on the table. The player is aware of Spalletti’s high regard for him; Spalletti would like to build the team around Vlahovic to solidify the attack and kick off the new era with a reliable offensive presence. This factor could weigh heavily in the Serbian’s decision.
Beyond the financial aspect, however, there is also a matter of status. Vlahovic wants to be considered one of the team’s key players, a recognized leader in the locker room. The duration of the deal also remains to be determined: a two-year contract would allow the parties to renegotiate his future as early as next year.
