Jannik Sinner, first practice session at Wimbledon: the journey toward a repeat title begins

Jannik Sinner is ready to return to the spotlight on the grass courts of Wimbledon, the most prestigious tournament in world tennis. The ATP No. 1 arrives at Church Road with the mission of defending the title he won in 2025, a victory that earned him a place in Italian tennis history.
The South Tyrolean arrived in London a couple of days ago to begin adjusting to the grass at the All England Club. Today, June 19, 2026, he held his first official practice session on the Championships’ courts. The tournament’s social media accounts shared some images from the session: in one video, Sinner is seen having fun hitting shots with his racket and juggling the ball with his feet, while in another clip, he is seen heading to the stands at Centre Court to take a photo of the court where, just one year ago, he raised the trophy aloft.
Before his Wimbledon debut, the Italian champion will take part in the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, a prestigious exhibition tournament scheduled at the Hurlingham Club. The event, which will also feature Flavio Cobolli and Luciano Darderi, will be broadcast live and free-to-air on SuperTennis from June 23 to 27.
As is tradition, the defending champion will kick off the Center Court schedule. Sinner will make his debut on Monday, June 29, in a match scheduled for no earlier than 2:00 p.m.
The Road to the Final

July 3–4: Third round

The goal is clear: to reaffirm his status as the king of Wimbledon and defend the title that last year cemented his place on the most prestigious stage in world tennis.
