Red Bull is ready to get serious: major updates are on the way for this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix, which should allow Verstappen—and, why not, Hadjar—to contend for victory in their home Grand Prix.

In Miami, Red Bull had already brought a first major update package, which was then finalized in Canada, but according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the Milton Keynes team will arrive in Austria with a second significant update, even more important than the first.

Team principal Laurent Mekies has already explained, on several occasions, how the upcoming updates should allow Red Bull to close the gap on the leading teams, while adding that “further steps will be needed to truly compete with Mercedes.”

Red Bull, especially given Ferrari’s step forward with Hamilton’s victory in Barcelona, does not want to sit back and watch others win. The package of additional updates is an immediate response to those who want to cut the Milton Keynes team out of the fight for the top.
