Turin Transfer Market: Salary Too High, One Player Leaves at a Discount

It’s been a busy few days for Torino, both in terms of incoming and outgoing transfers. The Granata want to offload Cristiano Biraghi, who slipped down the pecking order at the Piedmontese club during Baroni’s tenure and has failed to regain his place even after D’Aversa’s arrival.

Sporting director Gianluca Petrachi wants to sell the former Fiorentina winger as soon as possible; he earns a gross annual salary of 3 million euros, which is too high for Torino’s budget: he is the highest-paid player after forwards Simeone and Adams.

According to ToroNews, Torino is ready to consider any offer for the player, whose contract expires in 2027. A sale at a discount is also possible to lighten the team’s payroll.

Given these circumstances, several Serie A and Serie B clubs could be interested in signing the experienced player, who was also part of the senior national team for a time.
