Milan is dreaming big: new striker identified

Although Milan’s management structure has yet to be finalized following the departures of Marco Furlani, Igli Tare, and Geoffrey Moncada, the Rossoneri’s new head coach, Rúben Amorim, is already working to identify the reinforcements needed to bolster the squad.

Among the positions that will be most affected by the Rossoneri’s transfer moves is certainly the attack, which needs a major boost given Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku’s stats from last season. Milan’s top target is Nicolas Jackson, a Senegalese center forward owned by Chelsea who spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich.

He’ll return to England at the end of the month, but Xabi Alonso, the Blues’ new manager, doesn’t seem intent on keeping him, so the forward will have to find a new home. Milan is very interested should Chelsea be open to a loan deal, but the biggest hurdle is his €7.5 million salary.

Having come up through the ranks at Villarreal, Nicolas Jackson transferred to Chelsea in 2023 for 37 million euros, but things didn’t go very well for him in England, partly due to some muscle issues. Last summer, he joined Bayern Munich on loan for 16 million euros, and in Bavaria he tallied 11 goals and 4 assists in 34 appearances.
