Milan is stepping up its pursuit of Gonçalo Ramos and trying to quickly close the deal to give Ruben Amorim a new focal point for the attack. The Portuguese coach reportedly sees the PSG player, a fellow Portuguese national, as the ideal candidate to lead the offense, and through the mediation of Jorge Mendes, the Rossoneri executives have already submitted an initial offer to the French club.

According to ABola, the offer on the table amounts to approximately 45 million euros in total, a figure close to the 50 million demanded by the European and French champions. This significant investment could also pave the way for the departure of Gimenez, who is coming off a lackluster World Cup and remains in limbo on the transfer market.

Ramos, who is also being closely watched by Diego Simeone’s Atlético Madrid, is reportedly considered a key piece in Milan’s new technical project. For this reason, the Portuguese newspaper reports, the club is ready to offer him a long-term contract, lasting between four and five years. His salary is expected to be around 4 million euros per season, the same amount the 25-year-old currently earns at PSG, where he is under contract through 2028.

Milan’s absence from the upcoming Champions League does not seem to be an obstacle for the former Benfica player, who is attracted by the prospect of playing a leading role for the Rossoneri. Negotiations are in full swing, and Jorge Mendes is working to finalize a deal that has gained significant momentum in recent hours.
