Tommaso Giulini’s Cagliari is very active in the transfer market and is focusing primarily on shoring up the midfield following Michael Folorunsho’s departure. The star player, who arrived in Sardinia last summer on loan from Napoli, will return to Campania very soon, and the Rossoblù are working to make up for his departure.

In recent days, Cagliari has finalized the signing of Demi Akarakiri, a very young English talent from Everton who is compared to Paul Pogba back home. Obviously, Akarakiri is still a long way from becoming as good as the former Juventus star, but he possesses tremendous physical attributes and solid individual technique.

Harry Winks, an experienced midfielder for Leicester whose contract expires in 2027, could also be on his way from England. The player, who has previously played in Italy for Sampdoria, has already informed the Foxes’ management of his intention not to renew his contract and has therefore been placed on the transfer market.

Cagliari will then turn its attention to the attack, where the situation involving Andrea Belotti needs to be resolved. Belotti, whose contract is set to expire, missed nearly the entire last season due to a torn cruciate ligament in his knee but would like to continue his career in Sardinia. The Sardinian club has taken some time to assess his physical condition.
