Acqua S.Bernardo Cantù rounds out its frontcourt with the signing of Chad Brown. The American center, born in Deltona, Florida, on September 6, 1996, brings an imposing physique (206 centimeters, 111 kilograms) and a wealth of experience gained in Europe, the G League, and international leagues.

After playing college basketball with the UCF Knights at the University of Central Florida, Brown signed with the Dallas Mavericks in the summer of 2019 but spent the entire season with the Texas Legends in the G League. With the affiliate team, he finished the season averaging 5.5 points and 6.2 rebounds. His European basketball debut came in Greece with Charilaos Trikoupis, where in just ten games he averaged 12.5 points and 8.9 rebounds—numbers that earned him a call-up from the German team Gießen 46ers for the second half of the season. After a brief stint in the Canadian league, he returned to Greece, this time to Peristeri, where he also competed in the FIBA Europe Cup.

In the following years, Brown played for Merkezefendi in Turkey and Gilboa Galil, in Israel, before a brief stint in Russia with Uralmash Yekaterinburg and another return to the Greek league, where he averaged 12.3 points and 9.2 rebounds with Apollon Patras. During the 2024–25 season, he split his time between Szczecin in Poland and Peristeri, competing in the Basketball Champions League with both teams. After two brief summer stints in Bahrain and the Dominican Republic, he began the 2025–26 season in Kosovo with KB Trepca, also standing out in the FIBA Europe Cup, before moving to Israel to play for Maccabi Ramat Gan, where he finished the season averaging 11 points and 9.3 rebounds.

“I’m thrilled to join this club,” Brown said. “I’ve heard about the club’s great history, and I’m honored by the opportunity I’ve been given. I’m ready to bring all my energy and give it my all next season.” General Manager Simone Giofré was also pleased, commenting on the signing: “With Brown, we’ve rounded out the pair of centers available to the coaching staff. He’s a dynamic big man with a strong presence in the paint.”
