Kimi Antonelli Stuns Everyone at Wimbledon: Match Against Jannik Sinner

Andrea Kimi Antonelli is at Wimbledon. The Mercedes driver, fresh off a major disappointment at Silverstone—where he failed to finish in the top 10 at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix due to a technical issue with his car—made a brief appearance at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.
Dressed very elegantly, the driver from Bologna is in London to watch his friend Flavio Cobolli’s match against Australian Alex De Minaur. Later, Antonelli will also greet world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who is in the middle of a training session, before immediately returning to Silverstone, where testing with Mercedes awaits him.
Also in the stands at Centre Court is tennis legend Roger Federer, the only man in history to have won the London grass-court Grand Slam eight times.
At Silverstone this past weekend, Antonelli had a bitter Sunday: a mechanical failure in his Mercedes relegated him to 16th place, handing the victory to Charles Leclerc in a Ferrari—a triumph that marked the Prancing Horse’s 250th win in Formula 1 history. Despite scoring zero points in the race, the Bologna-born driver still leads the championship with 179 points, ahead of teammate George Russell (154) and Lewis Hamilton (147), who finished third on the podium at Silverstone.
Sinner, for his part, has already advanced past the round of 16 by defeating Japan’s Shintaro Mochizuki in three sets: on Tuesday, he will face Germany’s Struff for a spot in the semifinals at Wimbledon.
