After a hard-fought first set, the second set of the match between Jan-Lennard Struff and Jannik Sinner was also very close. The two champions are playing tennis at the highest level in the Wimbledon quarterfinals, and the South Tyrolean managed to take home the second set as well.

Sinner continued to play with great consistency but faced a Struff who was even more incisive on serve. After breaking serve early on thanks to two exceptional returns, the Italian immediately gave up the lead when the German broke back.

From that point on, the set remained perfectly balanced, with both players very effective on their respective service games and able to overcome the few moments of difficulty. Sinner also saved a set point at 5-6 with a winning first serve, forcing a tiebreak.

In the decisive game, the world No. 1 raised his level even further, immediately securing a mini-break and authoritatively defending all his service points, closing out the set 7-4 and taking a two-set lead thanks to his composure in the decisive moments.
