Frosinone is stepping up its transfer activity and aims to bring Alessio Zerbin back to the Giallazzurri; the player is highly regarded by promotion-winning coach Massimiliano Alvini. Talks with Napoli have already begun, and the two sides are working to reach an agreement that would bring the attacking winger back to Ciociaria, where he left a great impression during the 2021–2022 season.

The two clubs are discussing a loan transfer with an obligation to buy. However, the terms that would trigger the permanent transfer remain to be defined: among the options on the table is an automatic buyout clause or one contingent on Frosinone avoiding relegation.

For Zerbin, this would mark a return to a setting he knows well and where he previously made a name for himself, ultimately catching the attention of Napoli. The Ciociaria-based club considers the 1999-born player an ideal addition to boost quality and experience in the attacking lineup.

There is no shortage of competition, however. Hellas Verona is also closely monitoring the situation and represents a viable alternative, thanks to the player’s interest and the supporters he has within the Verona-based club. At the moment, however, Frosinone seems to have gained the upper hand in the race to sign the Napoli winger.

The next few hours could be decisive in narrowing the gap between the clubs and finalizing the terms of the deal, with Frosinone determined to move quickly to give its coach a reinforcement who is already known and appreciated by the fans.
