F1, Last Chance for Aston Martin: In Hungary with the New Car

It was supposed to dominate the F1 World Championship, but as of today, it’s the worst team (along with Cadillac, which, however, is making its debut in the paddock). After terrible months marked by staggering gaps on the track, Aston Martin is about to undergo a transformation—or rather, a chassis change.

This coming weekend in Hungary, Fernando Alonso’s team will bring the long-awaited B chassis—developed by Adrian Newey and his entire team—to the track. While it’s still unclear how much of an impact it will have, there’s a strong belief that this will be a different story.

“We’re very happy that the car will receive updates. I think everyone is wondering: how much of a difference will they make? We’re wondering that too—we’ll see. For us, the most important thing is to get back to racing, because we haven’t been able to do that in the last few races. It’s been very difficult to keep up with the midfield. Whatever happens, I think getting back to racing is the most important thing for everyone,” said Mike Krack, head of operations at Aston Martin F1, as reported by Marca.

In fact, this is the last chance for Aston Martin and, above all, for Fernando Alondo. The two-time World Champion is tired of watching others battle for the top positions. He hopes that, this time, Adrian Newey has managed to build the right chassis to step up the pace on the track.
