Transfer Market: Lazio Ready to Knock on Milan’s Door: Gattuso Wants the Striker

Lazio is stepping up its search for a new center forward and is firmly targeting Santiago Gimenez, a player identified by new coach Gennaro Gattuso to strengthen the offense. The Mexican, who has fallen out of favor at Milan, is considered the right choice to add weight and depth to the Biancocelesti’s attack. Lazio is also banking on the striker’s desire to redeem himself, as he has yet to return to the form he displayed at Feyenoord, when he captivated half of Europe.
According to reports in ‘La Repubblica’, the player’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has already had an initial meeting with Lazio’s management. This contact confirms concrete interest and paves the way for possible negotiations in the coming weeks. Milan, which no longer considers Gimenez a key part of its technical plan, seems willing to let him go, especially since Gonçalo Ramos has since been signed to play the same position.
The arrangement preferred by the Rossoneri would be a loan with a conditional buyout clause, a solution that would allow Lazio to manage the investment and enable the club on Via Aldo Rossi to plan a structured transfer. This alignment could facilitate the deal, especially since Gattuso has placed “Bebote” at the top of his wish list to complete the defense.
