F1 Hungarian Grand Prix: Norris on Pole, Hamilton Misses Out by a Few Thousandths. Antonelli Fourth, Russell Struggles

McLaren driver Lando Norris secured pole position for the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, the final race before the summer break in the premier class championship. In a surprise result, the British driver—the reigning world champion—was the fastest of the field with a time of 1:17.2027, finishing ahead of the two Ferraris driven by Lewis Hamilton (who took second place by just 12 thousandths of a second) and Charles Leclerc, who finished second and third, respectively.

The Mercedes cars had a quieter session: championship leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished qualifying in fourth place, while George Russell will start from seventh on the grid. The British driver, who had remained behind his Bolognese teammate throughout the entire session, was forced to stop toward the end due to a technical issue with his car. Between them are Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Max Verstappen (Red Bull). Hadjar, Lindblad, and Hulkenberg are also in the top ten
