“He has nothing left to prove; Romelu is one of the best strikers in the world,” Pastorello added. “There may be hierarchies within a club, but those are set by the coach. Certainly, though, we’ll carefully evaluate our options and find the most suitable solution. His salary? This isn’t the time to discuss it.”
The situation is already delicate: Napoli isn’t ruling out his staying despite last season’s friction, but neither is it ruling out the possibility of a departure, provided an opportunity arises that doesn’t penalize the club.
