Preseason friendlies: Palermo vs. Iraklis, probable lineups

Palermo will play its final friendly in Val Gardena, facing Iraklis—coached by Walter Mazzarri—at 5:00 p.m. at the Mulin da Coi sports center. In their four previous friendly matches, the Rosaneri defeated Gherdenia and Paradiso, and lost to Ingolstadt and Nuremberg. The first phase of the Sicilian team’s training camp will conclude on Thursday, after which Palermo will travel to Australia, where they will remain until August 12.

Pohjanpalo is the key player in attack for the Sicilians, who will field Gyasi, Hernani, and Johnsen in the attacking midfield. In midfield, Filippo Inzaghi has selected Gomes and Ranocchia, while Pierozzi and Augello will serve as the two fullbacks.

Mazzarri, who lost the first friendly against Bologna a few days ago, is relying on Kaiboue and Okaka up front. Nizet and D’Ausilio will play on the wings, while Soria, Sourlis, and Krainz will anchor the midfield.
