Preseason friendlies: Sampdoria vs. Novara, probable lineups

Bernardo Corradi’s Sampdoria will play a closed-door friendly in Bogliasco against Novara in a test match scheduled for 5 p.m. This is the third friendly for the Blucerchiati, who have faced Taverne and Cagliari in recent days.

The match will be held at the training center behind closed doors: Corradi wants to assess his players’ condition against the Serie C side and experiment with some lineups ahead of the season opener on August 17 in the Coppa Italia against Cremonese. The Blucerchiati coach may rely on a front three of Sinani, Tutino, and Paratici. In midfield are Esposito, Henderson, and Abildgaard, while the fullbacks will be Di Pardo and Cicconi.

In an interview with *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, Corradi spoke about his new adventure: “I recognize that this is a highly coveted coaching position. And this season there are many newcomers to Serie B. I had a couple of interviews before being hired. I know that Sampdoria fans want commitment, passion, and involvement. My parents taught me that before you ask, you must give. And I’ll give everything I have. I know this is a club eager to get back on track. There have been difficulties in the past, but let’s focus on the positive. I’ve been welcomed with enthusiasm, and my first impressions are very positive.”
