2026–2027 Preseason Friendlies: Bournemouth vs. Genoa—Probable Lineups

Genoa’s preseason tour in England continues. Following their 1-0 victory over Leicester City—thanks to a goal by Lorenzo Colombo—they will face a Premier League team on Tuesday: Bournemouth, which proved to be a real surprise in England’s top flight last year, finishing in sixth place (just three points out of the Champions League spots) and earning a spot in the group stage of next season’s Europa League.
The Cherries, after last year’s success, were forced to change managers: Andoni Iraola, the architect of their European qualification, has in fact moved to Liverpool (after also being close to joining Milan), and the club has placed its bets on another foreign coach, the German Marco Rose. Pre-season has been satisfactory so far: a 4-1 win over St. Pauli in the first friendly (goals by Gannon-Doak, William, Jebbison, and Diakité), a 5-2 win over Augsburg in the second (goals for the Rossoneri by Evanilson, Toth, Gannon-Doak, Tavernier, and Enes Unal).
Genoa, meanwhile, is playing its fourth summer friendly of 2026: the narrow win over Leicester City came after a 2-1 victory over Trento (goals for the Rossoblù by Colombo and Puczka) and a 2-2 draw against Vicenza (goals by Amorim and Colombo again, this time on a penalty kick). The match against Bournemouth marks the Grifone’s first preseason clash against a top-flight team; in a few days, they’ll face another international friendly against Deportivo de A Coruña, which recently changed its name to highlight the club’s Galician roots.
