Jannik Sinner: No Concerns After His Second Visit to Milan

On Tuesday, Jannik Sinner underwent a medical examination at the Physioclinic on Via Fontana in Milan, a leading facility for physical therapy treatments. The checkup—his second in a week—lasted about 4 hours and caused concern among many fans on social media.

However, the examination, conducted by Dr. Volpi, Inter’s team doctor, was merely a routine check-up: there are no concerns regarding his knee, and the tests had already been scheduled in preparation for his departure for the United States and the final stretch of the season. In fact, on Sunday, Sinner will fly to Cincinnati, where he will return to the court for the first time since the Wimbledon final, which he won against Alexander Zverev.

As reported by *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, the Italian player emerged from the appointment smiling and posed for a few selfies and signed autographs for the fans in attendance. The South Tyrolean had also visited J Medical last week for the same reason.

After Cincinnati, his main goal will be the U.S. Open, which begins on August 30. Sinner has already made his mark at Flushing Meadows: in 2024, he won the title by defeating Taylor Fritz in the final, and in 2025, he returned to compete for the trophy but lost to Carlos Alcaraz. This time, he’s aiming for his sixth career Grand Slam title, with a well-defined training plan and his physical condition monitored down to the smallest detail.
