Juventus Transfer Market: A Solution Found to Sign Joshua Zirkzee

Juventus is ready to begin talks with Manchester United to determine whether the possibility of a loan deal for Joshua Zirkzee remains on the table. The Dutch forward would be the ideal addition to bolster Luciano Spalletti’s attacking lineup, as the coach is eager to return to prominence after several seasons of falling short of expected results.
However, there are still some issues to be resolved, starting with the terms of the deal: United is pushing to include a mandatory buyout clause for the former Bayern Munich and Bologna player, while Juventus has proposed a different solution (a loan with an option to buy). In the background is also the situation involving Jonathan David, whose potential transfer could play a decisive role in Juventus’ attacking strategies.
Zirkzee’s profile fits into an attacking lineup that has already been significantly revamped by Juventus’ management. In recent weeks, Juventus has closed two major deals: the signing of Randal Kolo Muani from PSG for 38 million plus 12 in bonuses, and that of the young Bosnian talent Kerim Alajbegovic for a total of approximately 35 million. Alajbegovic, in particular, made a name for himself at the 2026 World Cup while playing for Bosnia and Herzegovina, winning the MVP award in the match against Qatar.
The Dutchman, for his part, is coming off a disappointing two-year stint in the Premier League. Signed in the summer of 2024 for over 40 million euros, Zirkzee ended his time at Old Trafford with just nine goals and four assists over two seasons, often spending matches on the bench. The allure of Serie A has therefore grown stronger, and according to the latest reports, the forward has already let his entourage know that he is open to a move to Juventus.
On the outgoing front, the sale of Jonathan David appears increasingly likely. The Canadian, who arrived on a free transfer from Lille a year ago but has proved to be a disappointment, earns a net salary of 6 million euros per season, which is a burden on the club’s finances. Several Ligue 1 clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation with interest, and his departure would free up the resources needed to complete the Zirkzee deal on the terms desired by Juventus.
