Preseason friendlies: Newcastle vs. Everton, probable lineups

The Premier League is fast approaching, and Newcastle and Everton are wrapping up their preseason preparations ahead of the league opener. The Magpies, who will face Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday in their final preseason match before the season begins, are coming off a victory against Valencia. The Toffees, who take the field against Lille on Saturday, lost their last friendly against Stuttgart. Kickoff is at 6:15 p.m. in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Newcastle has undergone significant changes this summer, particularly in midfield with the departures of Tonali and Guimaraes. The Magpies’ front three will consist of Murphy, Wissa, and Osula, while in midfield, Ramsey will be supported by Bamba and Joelinton. Miley and Sharar will start on the wings.

Barry is Everton’s center forward with Dibling and Alcaraz on either side of him, while the midfield trio will consist of Hackney, Rohl, and Dewsbury-Hall. Pickford in goal; the defensive line from right to left features O’Brien, Branthwaite, Keane, and Mykolenko.
