NBA: Klay Thompson has no doubts: his Warriors are stronger than Michael Jordan’s Bulls

There will be endless debate over which was the best NBA team. Many are convinced that the 1996 Chicago Bulls—the team featuring Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman—were the best of all time.

In reality, there are those who think that’s not the case at all—in fact, they believe that team could have been beaten. Klay Thompson is convinced of this; during a live Twitch stream with content creator Plaqueboymax, he told the world that “his” 2017 Warriors would have beaten the 1996 Bulls.

“The firepower we had, I think, was something that could never be replicated—with two MVPs on the team like Steph (Curry) and KD (Kevin Durant), me playing off the ball, Draymond running the show, and Andre (Iguodala) as lethal as a Swiss Army knife. I’d give the Warriors a slight edge, because I think our ability to score could make the difference. But it would definitely go to Game 7,” he said.

A statement that, of course, sparked a media storm. Some are attacking him harshly, pointing out how those Bulls were incredibly physical and had a “championship-caliber” mentality, while others, on the other hand, are on the former Warrior’s side.
