Turin Transfer Market: Rumors About Michele Di Gregorio Are Running Wild

Michele Di Gregorio’s future seems increasingly distant from Juventus, especially following the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario, who was signed from Tottenham, where he no longer had any playing time at all. The Inter-trained goalkeeper, who missed the intra-squad match at the Stadium due to the flu he contracted around mid-August, is now on the fringe of the team, and both the player and the club are working to find a solution as soon as possible.

Juventus is reportedly open to the possibility of a straight loan, provided that the new club covers his entire salary. However, rumors regarding Torino and Monza have not been confirmed: Di Gregorio reportedly did not approach Torino—these appear to be unfounded rumors—and is not considering a return to the club where his career took off, even though the Biancorossi fans are daydreaming about it.

The former Monza player’s priority is to try his hand at playing abroad. His agent, Carlo Alberto Belloni, has initiated some contacts with English clubs, though no concrete developments have emerged so far.

The hottest lead, however, points to Olympique de Marseille, which is looking for a new starting goalkeeper following Geronimo Rulli’s departure for Manchester City. Over the past 72 hours, two rounds of talks reportedly took place between the French club, Juventus, and Di Gregorio’s representatives, with all parties willing to move forward with the deal.

Marseille’s financial situation would likely necessitate a loan transfer, an arrangement that Di Gregorio also favors; he has reportedly already expressed his willingness to move to France. The deal could therefore move forward more quickly in the coming hours.
