Fiorentina Transfer Market: Como Makes Cesc Fabregas Happy with Moise Kean
Como is preparing a new bid for Moise Kean, whom Cesc Fabregas has identified as one of the top targets to strengthen the attack. Fiorentina, set to make its league debut Monday night on the road against Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma, has already rejected an offer of 25 million euros plus 5 million in bonuses and continues to demand a fee close to 40 million to let the center forward go.
The Como-based club, however, does not seem willing to back down and is ready to raise its offer to 30 million in a fixed fee, plus 5 million in bonuses and a percentage of any future transfer fee for the player. Meeting Fabregas’s wishes is an absolute priority. Meanwhile, Alessandro Lucci, Kean’s agent, has reportedly already reached an agreement with Como on the terms of the contract and is working to facilitate a final deal with Fiorentina. The club finds itself at a crossroads as the deadline approaches.
Another factor pushing the transfer forward is the European dimension of the deal: Como, making its Champions League debut this season, needs players trained in Italy to comply with UEFA regulations, and Kean—with 26 appearances and 13 goals for the national team—represents a nearly ideal solution in this regard. This is no minor detail in the Larian club’s strategy; with this new proposal, it hopes to finally convince Paratici to open negotiations.
It should be noted, however, that Kean has never pushed to leave Florence, leaving it up to the club to handle the situation. On Monday evening, barring any sudden developments, the striker is therefore expected to start at the Olimpico against Roma, with Fabio Grosso intent on getting the season off on the right foot and fielding his star player from the very first matchday.
Fiorentina, for its part, was not caught off guard and has already set its plans in motion for a potential replacement. Among the players being monitored by Paratici are Beto, a powerful striker born in 1998 who plays for Everton and is already known in Italy for his two seasons at Udinese, and Emanuel Emegha, a 23-year-old Dutch center forward fresh off a season with Strasbourg and currently on Chelsea’s radar. In the background, should the deal with Como go through, the possibility of Mauro Icardi remains: the Argentine forward, currently a free agent, is being targeted by Lazio, but Fiorentina is said to have tested the waters as a possible emergency solution.
