Juventus Transfer Market: A Winning Move for Franck Kessié in Black and White
These are decisive hours for Franck Kessié’s potential arrival at Juventus. The Bianconeri are finalizing the last steps needed to make room on the roster for the Ivorian midfielder, while at the same time continuing to work on bringing Luciano Spalletti a new center forward. Juventus’ transfer activity has seen two major moves in the last few hours. Following the termination of Arthur’s contract, Fabio Miretti’s departure is also imminent; he is headed to Besiktas, where he could be reunited with Dusan Vlahovic. The midfielder, born in 2003, will transfer on a paid loan with an option to buy, for a total deal worth approximately 15 million euros.
This departure allows Juventus to further lighten the squad and create the financial conditions to make a move for Kessié. The player, currently a free agent, has long been on the Bianconeri’s radar and would bring experience, physicality, and quality to Spalletti’s midfield. The Ivorian midfielder, formerly of Milan and fresh off a stint in Saudi Arabia, is now awaiting a definitive decision from Juventus. The deal has been in the works for weeks, and now that the final details have been ironed out, there appears to be a real possibility of making a decisive offer.
However, there is no shortage of competition. Al-Ittihad has already presented Kessié with a significant offer: a two-year contract worth approximately 10 million euros per season. This is a financially much more advantageous option than what Juventus could offer him. Time, therefore, is running out. The 29-year-old, who burst onto the scene during his time at Cesena before establishing himself with Milan, wants to know soon whether the Juventus project can become a reality. Juventus has taken its steps, but now the final one is needed.
The ball is now in the management’s court. Giovanni Carnevali and Frederic Massara are tasked with closing the deal and turning negotiations that have been ongoing for weeks into a concrete agreement. For Kessié, the wait may now be coming to an end.
